Established in 1932 as the first school of Public Health in South-East Asia region, has been a Pioneer Institute of its kind dedicated to teaching
Ever since its establishment in 1932, the All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health, independently as well as in collaboration with international organisations like WHO, FAO, World Bank, UNDP, etc. and national organisations like Department of Rural Development, Government of India; Department of Health and Family Welfare, different State Governments, etc. has been addressing various issues concerning different dimensions of Public Health through its multidisciplinary approach and in the process it has been serving the nation. Presently we have many challenges before us which include Health for All and Swachh Bharat. I am confident that the highly experienced workforce and the dedicated students will come forward and accept the challenges to take the Institute to a new height.
