Admission in Diploma in Health Statistics (DHS) Course at All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (AIIH&PH), Kolkata for the Session 2018-19

Notice for admission in Diploma in Health Statistics (DHS) course at AIIH&PH, Kolkata has been published by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences on 14.06.2018. The salient features of the notice are as follows:

I) Eligibility

Graduation in any discipline from any Recognized University having Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at Higher Secondary (10+2) level.

Age limit: Not more than 30 years as on 30.06.2018. Relaxation for 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Govt. rules. For sponsored candidate there is no age bar.

II) Application for admission

  1. Candidates seeking admission for Diploma in Health Statistics (DHS)is required to submit his/her application online by visiting  wbuhsexams.in and filling in the application form for DHS given under the heading “Online Applications” in the left hand side Menu of the website (or directly click http://www.wbuhsexams.in/COURSE3/eight_course/frm_allCourse.aspx and select DHS).
  2. After submission of application online, candidate has to take the print version and physically submit the printed version of the form with acknowledgment number and required fees in pay order/demand draft [in favour of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, payable at Kolkata] to the WBUHS office.   The last date of submission of application form online 28.06.2018. The hard copy to the print version is to be submitted to the university by 29.06.2018 (16:00 hours).
III) Admission test

The admission test will be conducted by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences on 15.07.2018 in Kolkata. There will be 100 questions of MCQ type on Mathematics and Statistics upto the 10+2 standard based on OMR sheet. There is no negative marking. The total time for examination will be 80 minutes.

IV) Stipend Each student admitted to this course would receive a monthly stipend of ₹ 7500/- per month.

Notice for admission in Diploma in Health Promotion and Education (DHPE) course at AIIH&PH, Kolkata has been published by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences on 14.06.2018. The salient features of the notice are as follows:

I) Eligibility

               (i) Candidate should be Graduate from a UGC recognized University having degree in the Biological Sciences/Social Sciences/Nursing/AYUSH.

                  (ii) Minimum Two years of experience in Public Health/Health Education/Health Promotion.

                            (iii) Age: Candidates who have not completed 50 years on the date of application are eligible to apply II) Application for admission

a) Candidates seeking admission for Diploma in Health Promotion and Education (DHPE)is required to submit his/her application online by visiting wbuhsexams.in and filling in the application form for DHPE.

b) After submission of application online, candidate has to take the print version and physically submit the Print-copy of the application along with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.3000/-(Three Thousand rupees) in favour of “The West Bengal University of Health Sciences” payable at Kolkata, photographs embossed with current date and photocopy of photo identity card (EPIC/Voter ID/ Driving License/Passport/PAN/Adhar/ any other valid Photo Identity Card) is to submitted either by hand on or before 29.06.2018 and by speed/registered post on or before 02.07.2018 (provided the bank draft is made in favour of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences on or before 28.06.2018) addressed to the Office of “Controller of Examinations” , The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, DD-36, Sector -1, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064.   • General information about different courses.
  1. The Institute runs a set of courses for medical graduates and another set of courses for non-medical graduates.
  2. The courses for the medical students include MD(Community Medicine), Diploma in Public Health (DPH), Diploma in Maternal and Child Welfare (DMCW), etc.
  3. The courses for non-medical graduates include Diploma in Health Promotion and Education, Diploma in Dietetics, Diploma in Health Statistics, etc.
  4. Handsome Stipend are paid in all the courses. For non-medical PG Courses, it is Rs.7500/- per month and for medical PG Courses it is as per residency scheme.
