 Title: Training on “Social and Behaviour Change Communication       for Health Promotion and Education”

Eligibility:Participants should be Public Health Professional involved in Health promotion and Education, teaching in community Medicine, Public Health,Nursing professional/ PGTs in Community Medicine.

Number of Participants:  20

Duration of the training: 3 days

Proposed to be conducted:    24th to 26th September, 2019

Venue: Department of Health Promotion & Education, AIIH & PH

Course Content:

  • SBCC –Concept, Principle and characteristics
  • Understanding the Situation and needs assessment for SBCC- People Analysis, Context Analysis, Formative Research Gaps
  • Designing of SBCC- Communication Strategy Overview, Audience Segments, Priorities, and Profiles, Barriers and Facilitators to Change, Communication Objectives, Strategic Approach and Positioning, Channel, Activity, and Material Mix
  • Testing of SBCC- Effective Messages, Drafting and Reviewing Materials, Concept Testing, Pretesting, and Field Testing
  • Implementing and Monitoring- Overview of Implementation Plans, Planning Activities in National health programs.
  • Considerations for Implementation of SBCC Programs, Monitoring SBCC Campaigns in National health programs.
  • Evaluating SBCC in National health programs.

Nomination for Workshop on ‘Public Health, Genetics & Statistics’

As you are aware, All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (AIIH&PH), Kolkata is a pioneer Institute in the field of Public Health and the Department of Statistics, under AIIH&PH, has been mandated to organize Training Programs on Statistics and related fields for the medical researchers, doctors and MD students and data analysts. Accordingly, it is proposed to organize a one-day Workshop on “Public Health,  Genetics and Statistics” on 21.08.2019 from 11:00 am.

Eligibility Criteria: Researcher in Medicine/ Doctor/ Post-graduate Medical Student/ Data Analyst

It may be mentioned here that Public Health Genetics is an exciting inter-disciplinary area that brings all the public health sciences to bear on the emerging challenge of interpreting the medical and public health significance of genetic variation within populations.

Interested persons of above eligibility criteria may apply for the same at the earliest.

There is no registration fee for the participants. No TA/DA will be paid to the participants from this Institute. Guest House/Hostel facility may be provided by the Institute on payment basis, if available.
