Event Brief Description
Operations Research Workshop A 3-day long [13.03.2024-15.03.2024] workshop has been done on the operations research workshop. 26 participants from various parts of the country from different fields have attended the workshop. Advanced techniques like mathematical modelling and log framework approach were deliberated.
Training on Biological Disasters Half day training program on biological disasters was conducted for 45 SDRF personnel from 8 states in collaboration with Dept. of Microbiology on 5th March, 2024.
Qualitative Research Workshop PLA/PRA research technique workshops were held on 1st-2nd February and 20th-22nd February,2024.
Capacity Building Training on Hospital Preparedness during Public Health Emergencies Three rounds of this training have been conducted with participants from West Bengal, Tripura, Bihar, Mizoram, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Jharkhand. The trainings were hugely successful with the involvement of the NDRF team in conducting mock drills for disaster preparedness and various field visits were also arranged for the participants. Many of the participants have started working on a disaster management plan back in their districts.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Departmental faculties and JRs participated in various tasks that had been undertaken by AIIHPH to commemorate the 75 years of Independence like World Yoga Day, Seminar on Independence Day, Blood donation camp, etc    
Hand Holding the State for Capacity Building on Dengue Prevention This workshop was conducted by Dr Rivu Basu with the help of 2nd year PGTs at RHU&TC, Singur on 17.10.2023 with an objective to inculcate geotagging in Dengue Surveillance. Dr Ram Bhunia, CMOH, Hooghly chaired the programme. The programme involved around 25 participants which included the BMOH of Singur rural hospital, Block data managers, Block epidemiologists, Block Public Health Managers, PHNs and DEO.
Swachh Bharat Activity In 2024, “Swachh Bharat Pakhwada” were celebrated from 01.04.2024 to 15.04.2024, where residents along with staff took charge of cleaning various sections/parts of their own institute. Also, Awareness Programme on Menstrual Hygiene at Blind School was organised.
Village Adoption Programme Susthya Gaon Swasthya Bharat 5 NCD Camps were held at Khosalpur Village. Also awareness Drive on Family Planning and balanced Nutrition, Geriatric health and , Observation of World Disability Day were done.  
Posting in various Public Health Institutes Junior Residents (18) from the Department of PSM were posted in 6 public health institutions of MoHFW, GOI for 4 months for skill building in various aspects of public health. The organizations were Port Health organization, Airport Health Organization, RLTRI, Institute of Serology, Land Border, Government Medical Supplies Depot.
iGoT Module Development Online course on” Diabetes Prevention and Management” and “Best Practices in Medical Education” sent for uploading in iGOT Portal  
Participation in i-ECHO network Clinico-social Case presentation programme was launched in iECHO platform  for 4 months

Public Health Emergency Management Training Course
